The time is almost near when thousands of salmon swim up the Columbia River to spawn. We jig cured egg sacks just off the bottom and wait for that pole to dip! Two fish limit per day and there are still a few spots still left in the boat!
After Action Report
2016 Spring Salmon Fishing Columbia River, OR
We were only able to get out for two days of fishing but that is definitely better than zero! Unfortunately, the first day Chad, of the Oregon Air National Guard, and I got rained and hailed on! The river was getting pretty rough so we called it mid day.
The second day Brittney joined us and we couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous day. Small trout kept eating our bait so we switched to trolling. It was a pretty slow day and despite the multiple professional guide boats out there not many fish were being caught by anyone. Nevertheless, it was a great and relaxing time!
